Doe Point Campground
This remote and picturesque campground is in the midst of old growth forest adjacent to Fish Lake offering some of the best fishing in the area.
There is easy access to Fish Lake which is a premier fishing lake supplied by over 45 underground volcanic streams. A volume of hiking trails includes the High Lakes and Fish Lake Trail systems, as well as the Pacific Coast Trail and Mount McCloughlin Trail. Many biking trails exist, including back-country and county highways.
Doe Point Campground offers outstanding fishing, swimming, and hiking in the midst of old growth forest, with easy access to the Pacific Coast Trail as well as Mount McCloughlin. Numerous hiking trails are within easy access, including the Fish Lake, High Lakes, Brown Mountain, and the famous Pacific Coast Trails, as well as the Sky Lakes Wilderness and Mt. McLaughlin Trail systems.
This large campground contains a variety of campsites to accommodate all type of visitors and campers, including group, family, and single campsites. Many sites are large enough to accommodate RV’s and Trailers but cannot accommodate RV hookups at this time. Drinking water and flush toilets with wash basins are provided plus picnic tables and grills. Firewood is available for purchase at the Host Site.
A boat launch for Fish Lake Campground (10 mph) is just outside this campground and many amenities are offered at nearby Fish Lake Resort. Groceries and a hot meal are close by in Butte Falls, or within walking distance at the Fish Lake Resort. Additional campgrounds nearby include adjacent Fish Lake and North Fork Campgrounds, Whiskey Springs and Fourbit Ford Campgrounds several miles away off OR-821.
65%-70% of the sites at Doe Point Campground are available for reservation through recreation.gov with the remaining sites designated as “first come, first served”.
